Georgine Hodgkinson

Georgine is a Professor of Communication Studies at Cosumnes River College. For more than ten years, she was a member of UVote, a national election research team focused on developing political programs and messages to enhance the interest and participation of young voters. She has also served as the Program Coordinator for Re-Emerging Scholars, a re-entry program for formerly incarcerated students.

Her published scholarship includes auto/ethnographic book chapters, journal articles, and essays exploring politics, gender, and spirituality. Her article, "Searching for Divine: Autoethnographic Reflections on Ashram Life," is featured in the journal Departures in Critical Qualitative Research. Georgine is a certified yoga instructor who loves to run, play pickleball, and hydrofoil. She resides in both Puerto Rico and California with her husband, Mark.
